Week 8 & 9
What a busy week we had in week 8 with all the excitement about our outing to Long Bay Reserve. We had such an exciting time exploring and learning about conservation.
Please remember to always take home even the smallest pieces of rubbish.

Learning Powers
This week we learnt about Collaboration.
I am able to support, challenge and work with others.
Working in pairs we built houses using straws and pipe cleaners.
This week was sea week and we built a sea bird called an Albatross
They have a huge wing span and can fly for many kilometres.
We also learnt about Resilience.
How to keep trying even when it is hard and to build on my learning through understanding and persisting.

This week Vance and Eva received certificates for commitment to their learning.
Week 4
This week in writing we were learning about verbs.
Verbs are action or doing words.
Here we are doing actions.

We are learning about our Learner Powers
We used Collaboration to make our play dough in the classroom.

This week Alex and Vivien received certificates for commitment to their learning.
Week 3
We ended our week by doing some jump jam for fitness.
We had an exciting lesson building bridges.
We had to test our bridge to see if it would hold 3 little teddy bears.
This week we learnt how to be safe at the beach.
In maths we are learning about Statistics.
We made a bar graph using our reading bags and discovered that most of the children had pink bags. While the children with blue and green bags were exactly the same amount.

This week Kaylene and Yoko received certificates for trying to do their very best in their learning and on the sports field.
Water Safety - Health
We are discovering how we can be safe around water.
In Maths we are learning about statistics.
We discussed our favourite ice creams and made jelly.
